PTA,

The Bridge Between Home, School & Community!

President's Message:

Dear Arkansas PTA Members,

I am very honored to have been elected to lead Arkansas PTA for the next two years.  As you get to know the other new members of the Arkansas PTA Board of Managers, I think you will be as impressed as I am with their talent, dedication, and many years of PTA experience.

We will be redesigning and updating the Arkansas PTA website over the next several months; please bear with us as we work on this!

As we head into the summer months, Arkansas PTA asks that you do several things to make sure your local PTAs remain strong. Please make sure that the list of your incoming PTA officers reaches the Arkansas PTA office as soon as possible. This will insure that your incoming officers receive important information from National PTA that will be mailed during the summer.

Make plans for your new officers to attend Summer Leadership training at Western Hills Elementary School in Little Rock on Saturday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Arkansas PTA Newsletter that came out in late May contained the registration form; if you did not receive one, please call or email the state office and request one (501 753-5247 or 1-800-PTA-4PTA; ar_office@pta.org). The new Arkansas PTA Kit of Tools will be distributed at Summer Leadership, and workshops will be provided for officers, membership chairs, Reflections, etc.

Again, thank you for your service to PTA. Your efforts are truly making a difference in the lives of our children.

Sincerely,

Ginny Kurrus

Arkansas PTA President
