Arkansas PTA Offers Steps For Building Successful Partnerships

National PTA's highly acclaimed parent involvement program, "Building Successful Partnerships," is now available at no cost to Arkansas parents, teachers, community members and school administrators.
The workshop(s) can be tailored to meet the needs of a specific group, whether delivered in a summarized overview or expanded into a full-length study. Handouts and interactive exercises are included to help participants understand the value of partnerships. The program incorporates the National Standards for Parent/Family Involvement developed by National PTA. The federal No Child Left Behind legislation calls for extensive parent involvement in our schools. Implementation of this program will enable schools to comply.
We all have a vested interest in seeing our children succeed at school and in life. We know parent involvement improves student learning. "Building Successful Partnerships" provides us with the tools to build a solid foundation for our efforts.
